POSITION TITLE: Director of Sales, Professional

LOCATION: San Diego, CA or Orange County, CA

COMPENSATION: $110k - $150k + Bonuses and Commissions

 

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Professional Sales will drive sales results through partnering with leadership to define sales strategy and maximizing the sales team potential to achieve sales objectives. 

This position requires frequent travel to the division locations, markets and client locations to perform sales activities with the sales team.  This role will directly manage professional sales team members and perform management functions such as coaching, mentoring and training sales team members to meet the organization's sales goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

Business Development Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business unit leaders to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue for the company.  Develop plans and tactics for generating business and achieving the company’s sales goals as well as continuous monitoring and reporting on sales goals, adjusting tactics as needed to reach them. 
  • Create a culture of success and goal achievement through development of KPI’s and strategies and then ensure compliance, utilization and implementation of those KPI’s and strategies. 
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable sales team members to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
  • In partnership with local management, implement strategic territory planning and forecasting
  • Ensure client growth, satisfaction, and retention; Advise or assist in the resolution of escalated client issues
  • Assess training needs of existing employees and conduct or arrange for ongoing employee development
  • Identify and communicate Best Practices that can be used throughout the Sales organization; streamline sales process in partnership with leadership team
  • Achieve results through developing and improving effective systems that are sustainable and scalable
  • Develops contract strategy and negotiates contracts in accordance with company standards and business requirements. 
  • Represent company at industry association meetings and trade shows to promote company's business, brand, products, and services.
Management Responsibilities
  • Directs and coordinates activities of sales training for sales personnel in division. May partner with L&D to develop training materials and heads training sessions to present and discuss sales techniques
  • Create cross functional expertise of the sales team.  

 

TRAVEL:

  • Travel is expected approximately 50% for this position.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years experience in managing a sales team, staffing experience preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant sales training experience required
  • Experience selling multi lines of staffing and technology
  • Possess a passion for the staffing business and for learning the business of our clients
  • Experience in revenue-facing roles, sales training and a demonstrated knowledge of best practices, methodologies, and technologies in each of these areas
  • Measurable experience with having a positive impact on business outcomes, such as win rate, quota attainment, length of sales cycle, etc.
